Justinian I, also known as Justinian the Great, was a Byzantine emperor who reigned from 527 to 565 AD. Born as Petrus Sabbatius, he took the name Justinianus from his uncle, Emperor Justin I, who adopted him and ensured he received a classical education. Justinian is best known for his ambitious efforts to restore the Roman Empire, which included significant military campaigns to reclaim territories in North Africa, Italy, and the Iberian Peninsula. His reign was marked by the codification of Roman law, known as the Corpus Juris Civilis, which has had a lasting impact on legal systems worldwide. Additionally, Justinian's building program led to the construction of many important structures, including the Hagia Sophia, which remains a symbol of Byzantine architectural achievement. His legacy as a tireless and influential ruler continues to be recognized in history.Made with high quality designer resin and cold cast bronze techniqueCold Casting is the technique that mixes resin and bronze to create detailed sculpture with metallic featuresMeasurement: L 4 3/8 * W 4 3/8 * H 10 1/4Gift box ready, perfect gifting option for all collectors
