Our serving utensils are hand crafted, and hand turned hardwood acacia wood utensils by local artisans. Pacific Merchants classic wooden fruit utensils will not crack or fall apart like other bowl makers, who sell acacia wood serving utensil by gluing strips or little pieces of acacia wood together, which is called lamination. If a glued laminated utensil is placed into the dishwasher, the heat will melt the glue and the utensil falls apart. This will not happen to a Pacific Merchants solid wood serving spoon or fork. Our wooden serving utensils are not dishwasher safe but if you accidentally put one in the dishwasher, it will not fall apart. Acaciaware is easy care! Simply hand wash with warm soapy water and air dry. Acacia wood utensils are not microwave safe. You can trust Pacific Merchants as we have offered classic, quality, acacia wood utensils for the last 25 years. We believe in sustainability and use sustainable methods of harvesting and production.
